Lego Rock Raiders ...Lego rock and roll toys

Who would have thought that mining could inspire the very popular Lego Rock Raiders? From hours of research and development, including visits to actual Scandinavian mines, the intricate Rock Raiders toys were designed and added to Lego's long list of successful toys.

The Giant Drilling Vehicle, with its impressive chromes boring tool brandished out front, leads the way for the Tunnel Transporter which carries mined rock to its destination. Assisted by the mini-manpower of Rock Raiders personnel: Jet the Pilot, Sparks the engineer, Axle the driver, Bandit the helmsman, and doc - the geologist, the team rolls onward to endless adventure. As they encounter obstacles of volcanic lava, ice-covered rivers, Avalanches and even the scary Rock Monster characters, all in an effort to mine precious Lego Power Crystals to fuel their Rock Raiders vehicles.
