Hasbro, Inc. Celebrates the Release of SHREK 2 With a Full Line of Plush, Play Sets, Figures and Games

Travel to a 'Kingdom Far, Far Away' this summer as DreamWorks Pictures brings back America's most beloved ogre in the fun-filled SHREK 2. Hasbro, Inc. welcomes SHREK and friends back with a full line of SHREK 2 plush, play sets, figures and games available Spring 2004 at retail stores nationwide.

WISE CRACKIN' SHREK/DONKEY

Kids will love chatting and sharing jokes with WISE CRACKIN' SHREK! Press on his ample, green belly and say 'I Love You, SHREK' to switch him into buddy mode. He is playful, funny and will even tell knock-knock jokes! But, just like in the movie, SHREK can slip into ogre mode just by hearing the word 'Onion'. Ask SHREK to sing a song and he'll respond with a loud earth shattering belch!

Wherever SHREK goes, Donkey follows. WISE CRACKIN' DONKEY is both a funny sidekick and a sensitive friend-in-need. Press on his fuzzy muzzle and say I love you, Donkey to activate the plush donkey's buddy mode. But watch out, when he hears Go away Donkey his mood turns sour!

PLAY-DOH ROTTEN ROOT CANAL

Open wide! In the spring of 2004, children can play dentist with the popular DREAMWORKS character SHREK in the PLAY-DOH ROTTEN ROOT CANAL. They can 'drill' away using the mechanized toothbrush with pretend drill attachment or choose to extract SHREK's rotting teeth with the make believe wishbone tweezers.

The set even comes with a dispenser for the popular ogre's favorite toothpaste...bug guts! One five-ounce can and 2 two-ounce cans of PLAY-DOH compound are included in the set for hours of endless 'drilling' fun!

OPERATION SHREK BOARD GAME

Just in time for the release of SHREK 2 in May, Milton Bradley will bring everyone's favorite ogre, SHREK, home for kids ages six and older to operate on. Awarded the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Gold Seal Award for 2004, the OPERATION: SHREK game will feature SHREK and his ailments including Ear Wax, Onion Breath, and Humongous Fungus. The player who collects the most money from successful operations wins.

BE-AN-OGRE ROLE PLAY SET

Kids and fans will have hours of role-playing fun when they don this life-sized rubber SHREK facemask and electronic hands. Tug on SHREK's huge finger for hilarious ogre-like one-liners and amusing auditory reactions. Requires two AAA batteries.

FAR FAR AWAY CASTLE

SHREK's world gets even more interesting with his first visit to the FAR FAR AWAY CASTLE, home of his new in-laws. This ultimate SHREK micro playset lets kids recreate their own favorite movie scenes with all the main characters including miniature figures of SHREK, PRINCESS FIONA, OGRESS FIONA, PUSS IN BOOTS, GIANT GINGERBREAD MAN and two KNIGHTS.

The FAR FAR AWAY CASTLE connects with other SHREK micro playsets and is loaded with action features such as transforming towers and chambers, escape doors and secret passages, breakaway castle sections, working drawbridge and gates, and a cappuccino machine that fires 'milk' missiles. The action really gets crazy as the castle gets rammed with the pullback FAR FAR AWAY carriage and its mechanical roof-mounted battering onion.

SHREK ACTION-PACKED FIGURES

The story of SHREK and his twisted fairy tale friends wouldn't be complete without a certain smelly side to their colorful personalities. With SHREK ACTION-PACKED FIGURE assortment, each of the film's characters comes to life with a signature action movement and a smelly attribute all its own. Kids will get a kick out of SHREK's garlic-scented sunflower, a romantic gift for PRINCESS FIONA.
