Woodmen Donate Teddy Bears to Richland County Emergency Services
Teddy bears are a source of comfort for children of all ages. Richland County Emergency Services is fortunate to receive teddy bears and other stuffed animals from the community each year. Each stuffed animal comforts a child while paramedics provide care and treatment to the child.
The Woodmen of the World Chapter 1945 is presenting 200 bears to the Department tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. Woodmen of the World Chapter 1945 have provided bears to the Emergency Services Department for nine consecutive years.
You can help comfort a child. WMHK and local Christian booksellers are collecting stuffed animals through the 'Bears for Caring' program. Your donation of a stuffed animal will comfort a child who is sick or injured during the 2004 calendar year.
