Leapfrog Wins Educational Toy of the Year Award Four Years and Counting
LeapFrog Enterprises, Inc., a leading designer, developer and marketer of innovative technology-based educational products, was honored at the annual Toy of the Year (T.O.T.Y.) awards ceremony with multiple award wins. Members of the toy industry gave dual honors to the Leapster(R) Multimedia Learning System as the most innovative toy of the year and as the best educational toy of the year, while The LittleTouch(TM) LeapPad(R) learning system was awarded the infant/preschool T.O.T.Y. by the industry.
The growth of learning toys within the industry and among consumers can be contributed in large part to LeapFrog, a learning company that continues to prove itself as a predominant player in the overall toy industry, said Julie Livingston, Director of Marketing Communications for Toy Industry Association. The fact that LeapFrog has received the educational T.O.T.Y. award four years in a row is a testament to the strength of its ability to offer learning products that are both fun and engaging.
2003 was a banner year for LeapFrog, and the recognition received by the toy industry for two of our newest learning platforms -- the Leapster handheld and the LittleTouch LeapPad system -- is a distinct honor, said Tom Kalinske, Chief Executive Officer of LeapFrog. These awards reinforce that learning can be fun and that LeapFrog has found the secret to bringing learning to life for children and parents.
