First Annual TIA & TOY Wishes Holiday Preview

The Toy Industry Association has formed a partnership with Toy Wishes, the celebrated magazine created to put the fun back in toy shopping, to kick-off the holiday editorial season. The First Annual & Toy Wishes Holiday Preview will be held at the Metropolitan Pavilion in New York City. In addition to the much anticipated announcement of this year's Hot Dozen - the toys predicted to be the must haves of the season - more than 500 new toys from nearly 50 toy manufacturers will be on display at this media-only event.

The TIA & Toy Wishes Holiday Preview is the first time that the Toy Industry Association has invited its member companies together under one roof to showcase their lead items for the holiday season. The industry's annual American International TOY FAIR is held every year. The highlight of the day-long event will be the announcement of this year's Toy Wishes Hot Dozen - the toys predicted to be the most in demand and toughest to find once the buying season gets underway. The Hot Dozen will be unveiled at a 10 AM press conference hosted by Jim Silver, co-publisher of Toy Wishes, and Chris Byrne, a respected member of the Toy Wishes editorial board, and will be on display throughout the day.

The TIA & Toy Wishes Holiday Preview has been designated as the official industry kick-off to the holiday toy buying and editorial season. With nearly 50 manufacturers - from large companies like Hasbro, Mattel and Fisher-Price brands, LeapFrog and LEGO to smaller well-known manufacturers such as Wild Planet, Binney & Smith and Spin Master will display a wide range of new toys that will hit store shelves in time for the holiday crunch. Media will also preview the Toy Wishes 2003 All Stars - selected by the Toy Wishes editorial board as the best, brightest and most innovative toys in over twenty different categories.
