PCI Launches ParentBanc Web Site

San Antonio-based PCI Educational Publishing launched its first ParentBanc web site, the fifth in the company's web site network.

The new site will feature ParentBanc product information, packaging and product images, and specs. As time progresses, PCI expects to add new functionality to the site, including order status reporting for the ParentBanc sales force, downloadable product images, and news and information.

ParentBanc, a division of PCI, is involved in the development and marketing of money-oriented, educational children's products. The ParentBanc line includes traditional coin banks, as well as handheld electronic toys that do more than teach children to save their pennies. ParentBanc's products encourage role-play and emphasize real-life money-handling skills. They teach the money basics, coin values and coin counting, in addition to more challenging concepts of equal value and the correlation between income and spending.

Children today are not only interested in how money works, but they are getting better and better at understanding it at very early ages. ParentBanc is proud to bring fun and educational toys to meet this need and make products that kids want and parents like, PCI President Jeff McLane stated.

The ParentBanc product line includes two electronic coin-counting calculators, the Coin-u-lator and the Money Calc; the Pay and Play Talking Cash Register with store keypads and a credit card slide; and the award-winning Real Play Money. ParentBanc recently began producing a pink version of its best-selling Coin Banc Safe. The bank counts coins as they are dropped in and features an intruder alarm and a storage compartment that opens with the right combination. The company's newest product, the Coin Abacus (an electronic version of a traditional abacus), teaches money counting and equal value with fun games. As dollar bills and realistic coins are slid across the abacus, an LCD screen keeps a running total, and a variety of sounds and voice prompts praises correct answers.

ParentBanc products are available in all 50 states at specialty toy stores, such as Noodle Kidoodle and Learning Express, national chains, including Toys R Us and J.C. Penney, and on the Internet at eToys.
