VTech Introduces the First True Teen Phone

VTech Communications, Inc., a pioneer in cordless telephony since its introduction of the world’s first fully digital 900 MHz cordless telephone, today announced the introduction of its revolutionary new.

VTech gz2434 Teen Phone. The cordless Teen Phone is powered by 2.4 GHz technology, and is debuting in conjunction with the annual Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, the United States.

Ring, Ring, Ring – Not Your Parent’s Ring To alert you of incoming calls, the Teen Phone offers six distinctive teeninspired pop song ringer melodies. The ringer tones are polyphonic, and consist of eight instruments – allowing the melodies to closely resemble actual songs. In addition, the VTech gz2434 also features composer software that teens can utilize to program up to seven additional favorite songs using MIDIfiles and accordingly set them as ringer tones.

And, for those late night calls when privacy is a must, the Teen Phone offers a flashing visual ringer display on the antenna and keypad to alert you of incoming calls – whether you’re listening to music and can’t hear the ringer or if you’ve disabled the ringer to not wake up the parents!

The VTech gz2434 also incorporates playful animated display features that alert to voicemail messages when the handset is charging and whenever there is a caller match from the built-in 50-name honebook directory – instant entertainment every time the phone rings!

The Look of the Future. The Teen Phone has a trendy look and fun color scheme -- it debuts in a vibrant orange, and features changeable faceplates that come in five fashion colors and patterns -- making it an aesthetically pleasing fit in any teen’s room! The VTech gz2434 also includes durable rubber detailing and fun styling on the handset – for those times it isn’t placed directly (and gently!) back in the base.

Fun Features to Keep Up With the Times The innovative VTech gz2434 Teen Phone also features Call Waiting Caller ID, 30-channel operation and a 50 name and number phonebook directory as well as a universal 2.5-mm output jack that accepts external headsets for private, mobile, hands-free conversations.
