Dear Aunt Polly® and Dear Uncle Pete® Collectible Elder Dolls

Dear Aunt Polly & Company is pleased to introduce a signed, limited edition set of collectible elder dolls that represent family and a connection to past generations. The Dear Aunt Polly® and Dear Uncle Pete® dolls were created to honor my own special loved ones and to pass along their gifts of commitment and love, said Dr. Curtis. The dolls are unique collectibles based on figures drawn by award-winning children's book illustrator, Bert Dodson. Doll artist Gail Shumaker sculpted the dolls to illuminate mature features while retaining a youthful vitality. The vinyl was poured by Lloyd Middleton, who helped achieve a soft, natural look. The dolls' warm faces, engaging eyes, graying hair, and rimless eyeglasses evoke timeless values of wisdom and experience. The dolls are available in a limited edition of 1000 (750 light/ 250 dark skin tones), and individually signed by the creator, Dr. Nanci-Ames Curtis.

The dolls are 24" tall with vinyl heads, arms, and legs and soft bodies. Their wigs are styled from 100% Lincoln Longwool. The sets include the two dolls, each with three charming outfits, displayed in a signature tote bag. The fabric parts of this special edition are all custom-designed and stitched by dedicated craftswomen in a small Montana factory. Loving attention and high quality mark their work.

Dear Aunt Polly® and Dear Uncle Pete® are currently being developed for children's books and educational television and give promise of becoming well-known characters. With the doll set, an interactive website, storybooks and the television series in process, Dr. Curtis anticipates success in the marketplace and a positive influence on cultural values for children and adults alike.
