Twentieth Century Fox Selects Master Replicas for Alien and Predator Collectibles

Twentieth Century Fox and Master Replicas announced today that Master Replicas LLC has been awarded the license to create and market collectible prop replicas for the Alien and Predator properties, beginning in 2004. Under these licenses, Master Replicas will be introducing collectibles spanning all movies for each property.

Master Replicas has helped pioneer the category of official, licensed movie and television collectible prop replicas. The company creates a limited number of select prop replicas annually, adding to the uniqueness and value of each piece. To ensure the accuracy of its replicas, Master Replicas goes through a rigorous development process with an obsessive attention to quality and detail. This includes:

* Detailed examination and measurement of the original prop.

* Extensive high-resolution digital photographs of the original prop.

* State-of-the-art laser scanning of the original prop to produce an extremely accurate digital model.

* Intensive study of studio archival photos and documentation of the original prop's creation.

* Hand-assembly and meticulous finishing of each piece.

* Stringent quality control in the manufacturing and finishing process.
