Upper Deck SuperStars and Baseball MVP Collector Sets

Decking the halls this holiday season, sports and entertainment trading card company, Upper Deck, is set to release a stocking full of holiday gift ideas guaranteed to make the season merry and bright.

This year’s holiday products include the newest version of last year’s top selling Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME Collector Tin; the highly-anticipated LeBron James Box Set; the first and only New York Yankee Collectors Tin; the Upper Deck SuperStar Gift Box, featuring today’s top professional football, baseball, basketball, hockey and golf athletes, and the MLB MVP Factory Tin, with baseball’s best players of the game.

In addition, Upper Deck will release the second expansion set of the Disney Treasures Collectible Cards, which includes the exclusive Donald Duck mini-figurine; and Upper Deck’s new Yu-Gi-Oh! Collectible Trading Pins, and Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME Duel Master’s Guide.

Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME COLLECTIBLE TINS

Noted as one of the nation’s hottest-selling toys of the year in 2002, Upper Deck Entertainment rings in the holidays with the all- new 2003 Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME Collectible Tins. Duelists can now stack their decks with a collection of booster packs designed to increase the complexity and power during monster Dueling matches. The Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME Collectible Tins offer an assortment of the game’s top-selling booster packs, which include Legend of Blue-Eyes White Dragon set, Metal Raiders, Magic Ruler, Pharaoh’s Servant and Labyrinth of Nightmare. In addition, each of the six unique tins will include one variant card. The latest batch of monsters and special power cards will be available in most retail and hobby stores nationwide in September.

Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME DUEL MASTER’S GUIDE

Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG fans and aspiring Duelists have the chance to learn the basics of the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME with the new Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Duel Master’s Guide. The Duel Master’s Guide provides all the necessary tools to learn all the mechanics of the TCG and include a DVD containing rules and game strategies, one limited edition card, two official game mats, and one Yugi and one Kaiba deck each (the Duel Master’s Guide is the only place Duelists can purchase the popular Yugi and Kaiba decks). The Duel Master’s Guide will be available at most at most hobby and retail outlets in November.

Yu-Gi-Oh! COLLECTIBLE TRADING PINS

Yu-Gi-Oh! fans and Duelists can now take their Yu-Gi-Oh! collections to a whole new level with Upper Deck’s new Yu-Gi-Oh! Collectible Trading Pins. Collectors can kick off their collections with the Yugi and Kaiba Base Sets, which will include three (3) Collectible Trading Pins, a Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelist Strap and a Collectors Guide. Expansion Set - Series I will consist of nine common pins, six rare pins, and three ultra rare pins. The Yu-Gi-Oh! Collectible Trading Pins will be available in most retail outlets in November.

LEBRON JAMES BOX SET

Exclusively from Upper Deck, the first-ever LeBron James Box Set includes never-before-seen trading cards, which feature the hoops prodigy on and off the court. Upper Deck’s LeBron James Box Set will include 30 LeBron James regular cards, and two special oversized cards –the Evolution of the Dunk card, a oversized triple exposure card, and, an oversized LeBron James card, certain ones of which will feature an authentic autograph from James. The box sets will be available at most hobby and retail outlets nationwide in October.

NEW YORK YANKEE COLLECTORS TIN

Celebrating 100 years of Yankee history, Upper Deck’s first-ever and exclusive New York Yankee Collectors Tin honors the greatest legends in baseball history such as Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio, Yogi Berra, Mickey Mantle, and Thurman Munson, to name a few. The 30-card set includes special cards highlighting each of the World Series the Yankees have won, two rookie cards featuring the newest Japanese sensation Hideki Matsui, one Roger Clemens card celebrating his 300th win, and one Yankee Stadium card, which includes a complete check-list and, a photo of the house that Ruth built. The Yankee collectible tins will be available at most hobby and retail outlets nationwide in November.

NATIONAL HOCKEY LEAGUE’S MVP TIN

Hockey fans and collectors now have the opportunity to gather their favorite Upper Deck hockey trading cards all in one shot with Upper Deck’s holiday NHL MVP Tins, one of the largest hockey sets of the season. The 440 regular card set will include SportsNut, the fantasy hockey game that lets you build a winning team; MVP ProSign autograph cards; double and triple game-used jersey cards featuring NHL’s best; Rookie Redemption cards to collect; and sequentially numbered Parallel cards with gold and silver scripts. There are a total of 436 Regular Cards, and four Check-list cards in a complete set. The NHL MVP Tin is available at most hobby and retail outlets nationwide in October.

UPPER DECK SUPERSTARS GIFT BOX

Highlighting the first-ever trading card product to be licensed by all major U.S. Sports Leagues, Upper Deck releases the Upper Deck SuperStars Gift Box. Each 400 regular card set will include four packs (10 cards per pack) containing various trading cards of favorite, baseball, basketball, football, hockey, and golf athletes all mixed in the same pack of cards. Collectors can find unique multi-sport duel rookie cards, which feature match-ups of rookies from different sports on the same card. In addition, each box contains a special one of six LeBron James bonus card. The Upper Deck SuperStars Gift Box will be available at most hobby and retail outlets nationwide in October.

MLB MVP BASEBALL FACTORY TIN

Baseball fans and collectors will now have the chance to collect the best in baseball with Upper Deck’s exclusive 2003 MVP Baseball Factory Tin. Each unique tin will contain a complete set of 330 Upper Deck MVP cards highlighting the best players in baseball, which include 110 exclusive MVP Update cards, 218 2003 MVP Regular Cards, and two check-list cards. In addition, every collector will receive Upper Deck’s exclusive Hideki Matsui rookie card in every tin. The MLB MVP Factory Tin will be available at most hobby and retail outlets in October.

DISNEY TREASURES COLLECTIBLE CARDS

Paying homage to everyone’s favorite duck, Upper Deck Entertainment is pleased to release the newest set of Disney Treasures Collectible Cards, which features Donald Duck and his greatest Disney moments of all time. With the new Disney Treasures Collectible Cards set, Disney and Donald fans can collect Donald Duck Filmography cards highlighting 45 animated shorts and films of Donald from 1934 to the present, and a Donald Duck mini-figurine (one of four mini-figurines in specially marked boxes – Vintage Donald, Scrooge McDuck, Millennium Donald and Daisy Duck). The Disney Treasures Collectible Cards will also include Feature Celebration cards for Pinocchio and The Lion King 10th Anniversary, and, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty Reel Piece of History Film Cards, which include an actual film piece from these Disney classics.
