JOHNNY LIGHTNING® Celebrates 10 Year Anniversary

In celebration of Johnny Lightning’s 10th Anniversary in 2004, JL Founder and President Tom Lowe has picked his two favorite vehicles from each of Johnny Lightning’s ten years of die-cast production. Six of these models, with a very limited production run, will be available in a single 6-car release exclusively to the hobby trade in January. Distinctive blistercards, a classic-style JL pog and Tenth Anniversary lettering on the Real Wheels™-series tires will make this a valuable collection.

Twelve models will be randomly inserted in the cars released throughout 2004 to generate chase cars in addition to our White Lightnings®. Each month, one 10th Anniversary vehicle will be introduced. Two cars will be available to members through the JL Club.

Ten Grand Years…Win Ten Grand! Every Johnny Lightning package will include an Instant Win game piece giving collectors a chance to win one of 2,004 prizes. Prizes will include: Grand Prize of $10,000, First Prize a trip for two to the 2005 Indianapolis 500 as a guest of Thomas Lowe, President of Playing Mantis, including airfare, hotel, food and other amenities, 200 Second Prizes of Exclusive Special Edition White Lightning die-cast cars and 1,802 Third Prizes of Exclusive Limited Edition Johnny Lightning die-cast cars.

37 New Castings in the First 6 Months

Johnny Lightning hands over to collectors 37 new castings in just the first 6 months of the year! Collectors will find 16 new castings in the 1:64 scale Replica cars, 12 in 1:64 scale Street Freaks®, 3 in 1:18 scale Models and 6 in Military Vehicles.
