New Line of Videos, DVDs and CDs Being Designed To Enrich Infant
Fisher-Price, the world’s leading manufacturer of infant and preschool toys, will bring its unmatched reputation and expertise in creating products that help parents bring out their baby’s full potential to the home entertainment marketplace with the creation of a truly unique infant development media series. This brand new line of videos, DVDs and CDs is being designed to entertain babies while at the same time meet specific development needs. To help successfully bring the line to the marketplace, Fisher-Price will partner with Artisan’s Family Home Entertainment division, one of the world’s leading family home entertainment marketers and distributors. The initial Fisher-Price media products are currently in production and are expected to be released in Spring 2004.
The Fisher-Price media products have been created with the same knowledge, expertise and care that have gone into Fisher-Price products for over 70 years -- dramatically raising the bar on the production quality of videos in the infant development category. Further enhancing the value of the partnership and new video line is FHE’s experience pioneering and establishing the rapidly growing baby video category as a mainstay in home entertainment, which was accomplished after successfully launching the Baby Einstein series into the mass marketplace three years ago.
This new, groundbreaking initiative partnering two of the most successful and renowned names in children’s entertainment, is expected to have an immediate and profound impact on the infant development home entertainment category. Having recently partnered on the upcoming Rescue Heroes: The Movie feature film, FHE and Fisher-Price aim to make the Fisher-Price media collection the preferred brand in the burgeoning infant video and audio arenas.
Fisher-Price is a brand parents know and trust for products that give their baby the best possible start in life, says Chuck Scothon, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Fisher-Price. The introduction of this media collection continues the Fisher-Price tradition by providing videos, DVDs and CDs that combine the perfect mix of fun and learning to truly enrich baby’s development.

Highlights of the collection include: Baby Moves, which encourages even the tiniest of physical accomplishments; Musical Baby, which offers the enriching benefits of classical music and more; Nature Baby, which captivates and soothes with the sights and sounds of the great outdoors; and Baby’s Day, which delights and fascinates with everyday sights and sounds.
Fisher-Price and FHE will launch a major marketing and advertising campaign to support this new brand. More details will be announced in the coming months.
