PTC Ranks Best of Holiday Entertainment for Children

Today the Parents Television Council announced a list of recommended family-friendly DVDs and video games for parents shopping for entertainment gifts this holiday season. The list includes G, and PG rated films and E rated video games that are free from offensive content.

With this Friday being the largest shopping day of the year, parents will be bombarded by hundreds of DVDs and Video Games, many of which are inappropriate for children due to extreme violence, language and sexual scenes. Our ranking serves as a guide for parents who want their children to unwrap quality family-friendly entertainment, said PTC President Brent Bozell.

Recommended Video Games:

Dora the Explorer: Super Spies, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, Wheel of Fortune, Uru: Ages Beyond Myst, Karaoke Revolution, FIFA Soccer 2004, NBA Live 2004, NCAA March Madness 2004, Looney Tunes: Back in Action, The Hobbit.

Recommended DVDs:

Finding Nemo, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, The Music Man, Eloise at the Plaza, Little House on the Prairie: The Complete 3rd Season, The Land Before Time (Dino Pack), Lizzie McGuire: Growing Up Lizzie, The Never Ending Story III, Best of the Muppet Show, The Santa Clause 2.
