Boys Will be Boys, and so Will a Lot of Middle-Aged Men

Whether you're a big boy that likes toys or a girl that likes big boys and their toys, don't miss this year's Big Boys Toys – the most exciting lifestyle event in the calendar. It's where world firsts will be showcased and spectacular items will leave you gasping.

Nowhere else can you see the world's most sought after toys under one roof. For just three days, let your dreams become a reality and check out the sleek lines and smooth interiors of the world's finest and most prestigious cars and motorcycles, the ultimate in extreme sporting equipment and technological gadgets so advanced you won't believe what they've come up with now.

Now in its 7 th year, Big Boys Toys has grown from strength to strength and built a reputation as Australasia 's largest and premier men's lifestyle event – and this year is no exception.

This year offers a preview of the world's newest and fastest cars, awe-inspiring technology, but also as the place to be in to win some of the coolest prizes in the world and witness some incredible events.

Big Boys Toys is all about dreams, aspiration, new innovations and the best of the best. It offers consumers an opportunity to be the first to see and try the latest, newest and coolest big boys toys on the world market, says Big Boys Toys Group Manager, Brett MacLeod.

This year visitors will meet the Enzo, a Ferrari Flagship. Named after Ferrari's founder, it is quicker than most racing cars, with enormous power – this is what dreams are made of. Porsche will be revealing a raft of new models on this year's stand. Another attraction is the increasingly popular Pavilion of Dreams, which is an entire hall dedicated to the latest cars from the world's most prestigious car manufacturers including Volkswagen, Hyundai, Holden Aston Martin and Lamborghini.

Technology has come a long way and nowhere is this more apparent that at Big Boys Toys. The Megabox will be revealed – the ultimate home entertainment system and high performance personal computer all in one. Sony continues to lead the way with cutting edge technology and products that are world firsts with everyday appeal. Apple has some of the newest and coolest products available. In amongst a number of new releases, visitors can see the Power Mac G5 - a personal computer with unprecedented everything and the new super-slim iPod that once again redefines what a digital music player should be. XBOX will be bringing a fully interactive show to Big Boys Toys this year with a lounge to chill out and play all of the games before they reach the shops.

To prove that the Show caters for all shapes and sizes, Big Boys Toys has little toys too. The Little Toy Shop will show visitors the thrill and excitement of micro radio controlled toys. They have the technology and machinery to allow you to control a true to life combat tank that's only 55mm long! Set up the battlefield on your desk and let the war begin!

A new and exciting addition to the Show is the Ultimate Big Boy Challenge, a fear factor style promotion where contestants compete for the title of The Ultimate Big Boy.

Hosted by Fear Factor winner, Mark Hewlett and 91ZM, the challenge is the ultimate test in intestinal fortitude. Sixteen contestants will be pushed to their limits in total, competing in five gruelling challenges, including axe throwing, disgusting dining, the cold arm, log burling, and Zorb racing.

Visitors to the Show will also be in to win a trip to the edge of space flying out of a Russian airbase. Very few people have seen the Earth from a breathtaking vista of 82,000ft, nearly three times the altitude of Everest. From the cockpit of a MiG-25 – the fastest and highest flying jet in the Russian Air Force - your view directly overhead fades into the darkness of space. Flying at Mach 2.5, or one mile every two seconds (more than twice the speed of sound), a trip in the MiG-25 Foxbat is one of the most exhilarating experiences available anywhere.

Other cool prizes up for grabs include a brand new MG ZR160 Hot Hatch and t he ultimate Big Boys Boat - a Ramco Dominator 560, worth more than $30,000!

There's loads to see and do – enough to keep the family amused and entertained for the whole day, including twice daily axe and saw cutting demonstrations from two of the world's best axe men and a re-enactment of a tank battle from WWII with radio controlled robotic tanks.

This year's Show is set to welcome more than 60,000 visitors over three days. Tickets are just $16 a piece for adults and $5 for children aged between 5 and 14. This year sees the introduction of a family pass - $40 for 2 adults and up to 4 children, and a discounted entry cost of $13 for students and senior citizens on the Friday.

Nowhere else can you see the world's most sought after toys in one place. For just three days, soak up the thrill and atmosphere of Big Boys Toys 2003 and let your dreams become a reality.
