Wal-Mart, KB Toys and Toys R Us Refuse To Sell Video Game With Vulgarity and Nudity

Today the Parents Television Council a non-profit, non-partisan organization applauds retailers Wal-Mart, KB Toys and Toys R Us for refusing to sell BMX XXX, the new video game by Acclaim Entertainment Inc.

Using the taglines Keep it Dirty and We're going to hell for this and you're all coming with us, Acclaim will release on Nov. 19th BMX XXX, the first video game to feature nudity, extreme violence, strippers, even copulating pink dogs at the beginning of the Christmas rush.

It is obvious that Acclaim has gone too far when major retailers and video game system creators are refusing to sell their raunchy video game, said Dennis Mansfield, Executive Director of the PTC. These games are glorifying the lowest dregs of society by normalizing these violent, seedy characters, continued Mansfield.

Acclaim can make whatever video game they want but upstanding companies don’t have to sell or market this vulgar product to children. The PTC encourages other retailers to follow the outstanding lead of Wal-Mart, KB Toys and Toys R Us and not stock this filth on their shelves, concluded Mansfield.
